Went to Parliament Hill lido this morning for a quick dip in the cool water. The kind of swim that doesn't make any physical difference but is good for the soul. Swimming in the beautiful stainless steel-lined slightly chilled pool there reminds me of the feeling you get when you brush your teeth: all clean and fresh, happy and invigorated.
Anyway, off on holiday for ten days tomorrow to Spain. This is where I plan to swim, it's the lake that hosted the rowing competitions during the Barcelona Olympics. I'll be back on the 30th of July and then will have about 8 days to sort out my swim in Scotland.
